B wordThe NYTimes laments overuse of Really on TV, but nary a word about the overuse of the B wordWednesday, October 24, 2012 at 1:31 pm — admin
The ObamaNYTimes recently put this header on a story: "The 'R' Word: Really, Really Overused." Well tickle my frickle, ain't thaaat somin. The bastion of--hairball coughup--feminism, has penned an item lamenting that on TV we Americans have to listen to the word "really" way too often. We Americans with a vagina have another problem a bit more pressing: we are called the 'B' word WAY too often, and the Times HAS NEVER penned that article, lamenting sexism via slut slamming women on TV nightly, calling us whores, bitches, sluts, skanks, and worse. Where is THAT article?? NBC stands for: no bi*ches or cu*ts; We must stop teaching misogyny to our childrenThursday, June 9, 2011 at 5:08 pm — admin
This month a teacher who punched a large male student who backed her into a coner while calling her a the c word and the b word and chest bumped her was relieved of her job. WTF? A review found the teacher to have been in a self defense position. She went on the Today show and made her case. But I ask you: where is the larger discussion on why kids feel free to call women b, c, w, and s words? God Bless A&E TV: they bleeped out the B word from Criminal Minds!Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at 11:50 pm — admin
Folks, tonight we have something to celebrate! I am ecstatic! I got home around 7:45ish, flipped on the tube as I nuked a frozen thing to eat and started to watch a rerun of Criminal Minds on A&E. Now, get ready to toss your hats in the air Mary Tyler Moore fashion: A&E bleeped out the B word!!!!!!!!!! Not once but twice! At first I though my ears had deceived me: "son of a eeeP," ,but then again it came: a bleep as a thug was ranting B word against a woman..."that eep deserved it." I felt something amazing wash over me: respect. Charles Schumer's office says it is OK to drop the B BombFriday, March 5, 2010 at 1:00 pm — admin

One day celebrities and rockers and pundits and the chattering classes will cry, break down and beg forgiveness for their sin of sexism. One day, when using the b word in the context of abstraction vs. a personal slur...one day those who do this sin will recant their wayward speech, will beg forgiveness for the error of their ways, will worry that this sin of directed hatred aimed at a subjugated group of humans will cast them out to sea. One day, women will not be the niggers of the world any longer. One day the b word will go the way of the n word. One day. Quoting Racism, SexismWednesday, January 27, 2010 at 11:16 pm — admin
As I watch Obama spin and twirl in an attempt to spin himself palatable tonight, I am pulling a piece from our hold bin. It dates back to this fall when Jimmy Carter and Maureen Dowd, befuddled by Americans who didn't support ObamaCaid, yelled RACIST in a crowed movie theater. Our piece shows disgust at such dangerous bandying of the serious charge of racism but it also condemns the idea that openly racist language is OK so long as you are quoting said language. Here you go....and sorry so tardy! In reading a piece on racism by Harry Stein in City Journal this passage stood out: Good news for women filmmakers! I promise to see myself as a Beautiful Person—and Fat Bitch is the name I call myselfTuesday, October 13, 2009 at 3:13 pm — admin
The other night while watching a television program a Dove commercial came on. It has a young girl perched on a couch watching the tube. Dove’s message is to get young women a boost of self-esteem. They have a female self-esteem campaign going now to get girls to feel just great about themselves. The TV commercial had the girl saying: “I promise to see myself as a beautiful person.” |
