media sexism

"Liberal" writer Phobe Connelly's very low hopes for women

Women who are allowed voice at Left -leaning outlets are carefully picked...picked to be sure they will not encourage too much equality. Rarely is one single sentence they write enough to give them away, although Maureen Dowd tops the list with her proud catcall of white
Bi$%H to Hillary. But ladies, what a treat you are in for today! Check this sentence from Phobe Connelly via the Daily Beast, via American Prospect, which is run by one of the most sexist men know to humankind, btw...

Here's Missy Phobe on "true feminism"

The New Yorker's Ken Auletta forgoes journalism to protect Teh One

It is always a hoot when severely biased media outlets attempt to portray themselves as hard on Mr. Obama. In the Jan. 25th, 2010 issue of the New Yorker, Obama supporter Ken Auletta wrote a piece that ostentatiously looked at the Obama Press Machine, hoping to create an image of a tough reporter lifting the hood on any shady Obama Press Machine tactics. I now point you to this graf:

When Obama was running for the Senate in Illinois in 2004, his two main opponents in both parties were destroyed by the release of their respective divorce records;

Guest post!! by - Lois Adams
The constant theme running through the Sarah Palin articles that have been springing up like mushrooms after a rainstorm since she burst on the national scene a year and a half ago, is: why do they hate her so much?
Well, we know why men would hate her - no mystery there. An embarras de choix in fact: -

misogyny: she belongs to a group that it is OK to hate;

politics: she belongs to the wrong political party/ideology (conservative);

elitism: she is white trailer trash and didn't go to Harvyale;

THE TRIVIALIZATION OF hillary clinton

a woman's place

Lucky us! Today we get another fantastic guest post from Lois Adams.(Bio below)
Judith Warner is heartbroken at the "tide of trivialization" washing over the Secretary of State (NYT, August 12, 2009, Hillary Fights a Tide of Trivialization). She says:

The Polarizing of Sarah Palin, and Hillary Rodham Clinton, and...any woman who wants to be King

palin

Yesterday, on a comment thread I reminded readers of a particular sexist trick used to disembowel female pols—the old: she’s too polarizing theme. Specifically, I mentioned Hollywood’s David (Obama) Geffen’s charge that Hillary Clinton was “incredibly polarizing.”

Mitt Romney thinks Sexism is funny, takes sexist jab at Palin

two can play at the bigot game, Mitty Boy

Well, in case you are wondering if only Lefties own the sexist handbag these days, turns out Mitt Romney is dishing out ugly sexism.

Where did I find this? Hold on to your hat… On DailyKos, the MOST sexist place on the planet. They post Mitt’s
sexist swipe at Palin and then low are behold, look at the comments section, chokoblock full of pictures of Palin as Barbie and snide sexist comments.

Objectify yourself? Gladly, say faux-feminists, who are keen to bring down all women with their anti-female trickery.

palin dressed down to demean all women

Remember when the New Yorker and Slate and Salon put Palin in a bikini? Well there is solid evidence why they did so—to turn a female candidate into a tool, literally! The media plan was to demean Palin and to whip up anti-woman sentiment; the media knows exactly how to pander to sexual stereotypes.
For example, a recent study found:

“Sexy women in bikinis really do inspire some men to see them as objects, according to a new study of male behavior.

Salon rates Palin as Fuckable; Joan Walsh denies misogyny in allowing such language

Recently we published comments from a reader (L.A.) that had several excellent points. We’ve already tackled her thoughts and ours on marriage as a means of oppression to women. Today we post another portion of her letter:

I know that you have a specific mission statement of ending male domination
of the media; however, in my opinion you are never going to achieve it by
just writing a blog. The reason men dominate the media and just about
everything else is that women have absolutely no clout and zero influence
