On 9-11 343 firefighters died at the World Trade Centre, doing their bravest best to help others. And now that I watch the Fukushima 50 (which will be more likely a much higher number as this unfolds)--brave nuclear workers who are sacrificing their health and most likely their lives to save their country, I am in awe of their service to planet, humans, and beasts. It is unbearable to think of the sacrifice these men are making to save lives and preserve the planet for the future of their children and other's children.

Oh if things don't get more condescending than that? Yes they can:

Omar S. Thornton has just committed serial hate crime murder. No news paper will say if all his victims were white. (I hear they are indeed all white.) Instead they are playing up his poor "bumpy life." Omar was a big time loser who racked up debt and had delusions playing in his head. Omar S. Thornton was the racist and we must stop protecting racism when it comes in black.

Omar will get kid gloves. Enough is enough. No more double standards. When blacks commit hate crimes we must hold them to the same standards as whites who commit hate crimes.
