Obama the Great Divider; Hillary, unity in the Middle

CNN has just finished a “Grade the President” web interactive. The final question, #10, tells readers to “Grade the President Barack Obama.”
Final result: The national average grade for B.O. is a C minus.
But what is startling about this chart is that in virtually every state of our Union, Obama either gets a A grade or an F grade. There is virtually no middle ground. Either folks love him or hate him. Remind anyone of the bad old days of Bush?

Bush had his 30% base who never wavered. No matter what. Obama has the exact same pattern.

Yesterday, on a comment thread I reminded readers of a particular sexist trick used to disembowel female pols—the old: she’s too polarizing theme. Specifically, I mentioned Hollywood’s David (Obama) Geffen’s charge that Hillary Clinton was “incredibly polarizing.”
