Study of rape in prisons Counts 60K Attacks. Inmates who were short, young, gay or female were more likely to be victimized than other inmates. It seems clear that decreasing the number of rapes in prison is a good idea. Yes get tough on crime is OK, but we have a responsibility to be sure that a prison sentence is not a rape sentence. We do have a duty to protect those we incarcerate.  |
