Can Tea Partiers avert America the Greece?

money.jpg

If you read the Times coverage of the Great Greek Meltdown, you will know that “last year, Greece’s deficit equaled 12.7% of gross domestic product.”
If you read the coverage of U.S. debt you will know that due to massive spending (Bush first, Obama doubled down and then tripled down) we are on target to “boost the federal debt to more than 65% of gross domestic product NEXT year.”
And....
If you read the Times coverage of Tea Party folks you will not get a picture of them as fiscal responsibles who want to keep America from running off the Dept Cliff that Obama is constructing, but...instead you will get:
a picture painted for you of rubes who want to “grab their guns” and who believe that “because of the stimulus bill…private medical records were being shipped to federal bureaucrats.” The Times doubled down on that one, saying about the tea partiers in response to that statement: “There were gasps of rage,” as people wondered about ways to stop this from happening! Read: Poor dumb Tea Party dolts!

Now kids, here’s the thing: I can tell you with certainty that medical records of private citizens are being shipped to federal bureaucrats every day. Duh. Every Medicare or Medicaid patient has the government scouring their medical records to assess if MDs are “high cost’ docs. And I can also tell you that the government is now ramping up, way way way way up on this technique, so they can also scour the medical records of those outside the M and M box. Sad little MSM media types, so anxious to help Obama, are happy to miss the emerging reality of no medical privacy and upcoming "direction of care" to independent MDs. In fact, in ObamaCaid bill, there is a bit of wording that is there to move independent MDs out of private practice and force them into conglomerate care where there is "directed care."

Putting that aside, and back to the Times sneer at Tea Party folk, who fear “A New World Order” and folks who “fear the government.”
Can you believe, wonders the Times, that one lame woman “pointed out how much easier it is since Sept. 11 to tap phones and scour email, bank accounts and library records.”

Poor dolts, these paranoid Tea Party folks. Until one remembers the Pulitzer that the Times proudly took home for reporting on Bush’s expansion of government power to tap phones, scour email, bank accounts and library records without warrants.

Memo to the Times re New World Order: American has in the past had debt levels this high (not so high as projected in the coming years though) BUT….in the past we have owned our own debt and thus had a large measure of control over that servicing. But in the NEW WORLD ORDER, we no longer own our debt. We are now at the mercy of China and others. Memo to Obama: Your spending Reparations Program is very likely to land our country in the sinking quicksand that is fast becoming the New Reality of America's fiscal outlook and...this will only hurt Americans--all Americans.

Memo to the Times re Tea Pary folks: you can scoff all you want about those who fear Big Government, but you might want to remember why we all scarf down apple pie on the 4th of July.
It had a little something to do with Big Government and the right to self determine and privacy and that sort of thing. Perhaps the Tea Party is the only way to reign in Obama's Great Tax and Spend reparations agenda.

And speaking of fearing Government!! Can someone send a message to those kooks in Oklahoma who want to governmentally force women to procreate! Limited Government has to apply to stomping into my bedroom and all over my uterus. Governent Get OUT! Leave things to me and my MD! (yes, Obama has made it a crime for insurance to cover my reproductive care, but hey, at least he's an angry black dude stomping on my uterus rather than am angry white guy, right?)
Tomorrow we will post more on the sad sack Oklahoma Legislature that is beyond bizarre and the Times bizarre coverage of this issue.

Smearing Tea Party as racist is the shame of liberals.

here is something amazing that Newsweek cites as an example of whether on not a person if racists. You are racist if you do not agree with this statement:

"Over the past few years blacks have gotten less than they deserve."

What? Really? Oh fuck.

Wow. And if you thought those

Wow. And if you thought those white firefighters whose test scores were thrown out because no black firefighters passed the test meant that whites did not get what they deserved you must be racist. The left has rely gone down the rabbit hole-- the same hole the far right went down in the early part of this century.

That's really upsetting to read. I think the everyone has taken a hit in the past few years. If I don't want to breakout blacks, I'm a racist? This IS silly season. Good catch!

As a long time member of the

As a long time member of the Democratic Party, I have never seen such mindless spending by a Democratic president. I believe that Mr. Obama is driven by his personal drive to give back to the African American community, which I once thought was fine. Now he seems to have lost all sense of duty to other members of this nation and our long-term financial health.

Unfortunately, most African

Unfortunately, most African American communities aren't doing very well under his watch : ( I don't think Obama cares about African Americans and I don't thing Democrats do either. They are just being manipulated to vote Dem.

Mr. Obama is thinking in the

Mr. Obama is thinking in the long term on the issue of reparations. All blue collar people are doing poorly under his watch. However, Mr. Obama is setting up a large reorganization of society into a Euro style nanny government.

For a lot of democrats that is ok with them. For me it is so not ok.

Black Americans generally are very supportive of nanny state politics. Robert Reich and anyone who writes for The Nation is nanny state. It is hard to imagine the US under the watch of The Nation's writers, howerver if we give Obama a second term we will see exactly what it would look like if Congress is as roll over as now.

Astute observation about the

Astute observation about the new situation of having so little control over our financal fate in terms of debt. Troubling.
