Cheering for the dealth penalty can be the right thing to do. Just think Hayes & Komisarjevsky

I have a long-standing push pull with the death penality. Push DNA evidence exonerations; pull, every day stories like the one I am about to show you as well as the fact that having the dealth penalty on the table allows deals to be made to find locations of other remaining bodies, which in turn can help parents find some tiny shred of peace. The NYTimes likes to pretend that only mean ol' GOPers cheer for the dealth penalty, so let's travel now to see what some HuffPO liberals have to say about what to do with a child rapist:

That worthless piece of trash should be publicly CRUCIFIED and his carcass should be allowed to rot and fall to the ground for the rats and dogs to eat.

THEY KILL THAT MF AND CUT HIM UP

This is exactly why you never trust people around your children. If it was my child he would be begging to be locked up.TORTURE a terrible thing to waste.

Total castration!!!!

This proof should have the death sentence carried out now. No trial, no judge or jury to feel pity or what ever lets these freaks out and registered. Death, now.

I will not go on, and there is no way to know that the comments above came from Dems or Repubs, but given the readership of Huff Po it is likely a lot of libs. No mercy shown there.

NOW I want to ask the NYTimes to defend NOT killing these two men:

Komisarjevsky first raped 11-year-old Michaela while he wasn't there, then pressured him into matching him during a tense confrontation in which Komisarjevsky said that Hayes “was not doing any of the dirty work.” Hayes told the detective that Komisarjevsky said Hayes “would have to have sex with the mother to square things up between them." He said that he complied, although he was nervous because Komisarjevsky "was walking in and out of the room with a baseball bat,” the same baseball bat which he used to beat Dr. William A. Petit Jr. earlier.

Hayes and Komisarjevsky are accused of murder, sexual assault, burglary, kidnapping and arson; Hayes is charged with strangling Hawke-Petit, which he didn't admit to the detective. But he did repeat twice: “Things got out of control.” Later in the day, jurors were shown video of Hayes driving to buy ten dollars of gas at a nearby gas station in the Petit's SUV, which was used to burn the house down. Jurors also learned today through forensic testimony that Komisarjevsky took four dark, underexposed, "pornographic" photographs of Michaela, the girl he raped.

----
So two men broke into a family home, beat the father senseless and then raped an 11 year-old girl and her mother, and then burned them all to death, save the father who escaped through the basement in a futile attempt to get help.

I ask you, why keep these men alive? Why would one not cheer for the needle for these monsters? Really. Think about it. Cheering for the dealth of Osama bin Laden or for the these men is of little difference. We cheer not because we are evil but because we despise evil.

It is understandable the the dealth penalty is sometimes not admisistered as it should be but sometimes it is the only thing possible.
In the cases above: a man who raped an 11 month old baby or men who terminated and tortured the Petit family--I can only wonder what depraved souls would keep such beasts among us.

The actor Alec Baldwin used the Davis case to attack the MacPhails, stating on Twitter: “Wonder if the McPhail [sic] family will seek death penalty for US leaders who killed thousands of US soldiers and countless innocent Iraqis."

Enough vomit bag Baldwin.

Brewer, a white supremacist

Brewer, a white supremacist gang member, was convicted of chaining Byrd, 49, to the back of a pickup truck and dragging him to his death along a bumpy road in a case shocked the nation for its brutality.

Another scumbag who got the death penalty. No tears in liberal media for this one. Wonder why.

About Troy Davis the poor

About Troy Davis the poor innocent that was capitally punished
wiki makes it clear that Davis was a scumbag who participated in the brutal murder of a cop who was trying to protect a homeless man from a pistol whipping. Both the men at the scene could have pulled the trigger but who the fuck cares. Two men beating and shooting a cop and another citizen and then beating a third on a night of wilding, doesn't matter to me who threw what punch or who shot the gun. as far as i can tell both these dirtbags should get the needle.
As for the supposed other confession, that was by the other guy at the scene but it was only a smoke and mirrors confession because he refused to go to court to admit he pulled the trigger. It is hearsay.

On the evening of August 18, 1989, Davis briefly attended a pool party hosted by a friend in the Cloverdale neighborhood of Savannah, Georgia. As he left with his friend Darrell Collins, the occupants of a passing car yelled obscenities at them. A bullet was fired into the car and [13] Michael Cooper, a passenger in the other car, was shot in the face, allegedly by Davis.[14] Davis and Collins continued on, and later met Sylvester "Redd" Coles, who was arguing with a homeless man, Larry Young, over a beer near a Burger King restaurant in the nearby Yamacraw neighborhood.[13][15]. Off-duty policeman Mark MacPhail was working as a security guard there and was shot when he attempted to intervene in the pistol whipping of Mr. Young.[16]

MacPhail, age 27, the son of a U.S. Army colonel, was married and father to a 2-year old daughter and an infant son. He had joined the Savannah Police Department in 1986 following six years of military service as an Army Ranger. MacPhail had worked for three years as a regular patrol officer and in the summer of 1989 had applied to train as a mounted policeman.[17] At about 1:15 am, seeking to help Young who was being attacked in a nearby parking lot, MacPhail was killed. He had been shot twice, once through the heart and once in the face, without drawing his gun

People say the dealth penalty

People say the dealth penalty is unfair because it is done on a case by case basis but that is exactly why it is fair. Society is able to make adjustments in the penalty based on the facts of a particular crime.

It would be interesting to see the editors of the New York Times face off with Dr. Petit and argue in public for the worthless lives of Hayes and Komisarjevsky.
