This week at a Smith and Wollensky restaurant I watched the manager of the restaurant upend the bar stool of a women whose only crime was disagreeing with the man who had come up to speak to her. It made me SICK to my stomach to watch this. The woman was with a group of folks and they were having a nice time as far as I could see. The woman had been nursing the same drink for over an hour and the men kept saying "tell us when you are old enough to drink and we'll buy you another glass of wine.' Clearly the woman was not drunk, she was very polite, even friendly.

We were sitting at a table across from the bar and had watched several men approach this young lady who was nice looking and she was pleasant but firm in her demeanor. Finally one man walked over and the group began to discuss housing policy. I didn't hear every word but finally the woman turned back to her group and ignored the man. A few minutes later the man had entered into a discussion on the same topic with another fella at the bar and they enlisted her yet again. The woman, maybe 30, told the man she was not going to have a discussion with someone so uninformed of the facts. She said the nicely but firmly. She said it served no purpose. The man stormed off and returned with the manager who forced the woman to leave her friends and pushed her out of the bar. I was flabbergasted. Floored! Her crime was acting male.

I shake my head as male democrats wish Palin dead in the plane crash that killed an erstwhile male senator. From Politico:

Rep. Timothy Horrigan had speculated yesterday on Facebook that a slain Palin would become a martyr.

(Horrigan is not to be confused with the other New Hampshire Democratic activist who was rebuked yesterday for expressing the wish that Palin and Levi Johnston had been on the downed airplane carrying Ted Stevens.)

Every day I read about how racist this country is for daring to oppose tax and spend Barack. Not for the life of me can I see a nicely dressed, clearly well-educated black man being upended from a bar stool in a swanky eatery for disagreeing with a male. Psst Rev. Wright: Barack ain't never been treated like this lady was treated last night. She was too uppity for the men in charge. And I can say that they would not have done this to a black woman for fear of raciam charges, but...white women MUST DO AS TOLD and NEVER dare to tell men they are wrong.

Women must not allow this to continue. I tried to talk to the manager. I was with a co-worker and he told me to "leave it." What a coward I am, for that is what I did.
