just in time after the Supreme Court ruled it A Ok to sell violent video games to minors, a study that shows more ill effects on children. Researchers assessed media usage and sleep habits among roughly 600 preschool-aged children via surveys and media diaries. They found that children who used television, computers, or video games after 7 p.m. reported more sleep issues (e.g., repeated night wakings, nightmares, daytime tiredness). Watching violent content any time of day also was associated with sleep problems. Children with televisions in their bedrooms watched more violent content and were more likely to have sleep problems. ------------------------------------------ Now more on the SC ruling from Fox: more more California lawmakers passed the 2005 measure in an effort to help parents keep violent video games away from children, with the state citing studies showing a linkage between minors who play the games and later violent activities. killing prostitutes and slapping women to "calm" them down. i can't help but wonder if it would be OK to lynch a black flash mob kid. pretty much think the supreme court would find that incendiary speech and limit THAT. women are so disposable.
