Jared L. Loughner says to Congresswoman Giffords: "Die Bitch"; Will Liberal media ponder their role in creating a "climate of misogyny"?Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 11:12 pm — admin
Jared L. Loughner wrote a note before he shoot Congresswoman Giffords in the head. It said: Die Bitch. Well, well, well, do you think we will see the liberal media beating themselves up for creating a climate of misogyny? No, we will see more of Paul Krugman of the Times and his blame to Sarah Palin for creating a “climate of hate” even though at this point there is more evidence that Loughner was acting out of a hatred of women than a hatred of democrats. Die Bitch says a lot. But the Left media will not listen and unless you all call the Times daily and hourly and demand they print a front page apology for calling Hillary Clinton a “white bitch” during the 2008 primaries, the Times will continue its anti-women campaign against women who want real power in both parties.
So, here is what I suggest you all do: write to the New York Times and demand that the paper beg forgiveness for creating a climate of hate surrounding “white bitches” in politics. As you remember Paul Krugman wrote an op-ed on the “climate of hate” that Sarah Palin and the right created that drove a schizophrenic to murder a member of Congress. But they must have it wrong—it looks like the lunatic killer was motivated by the climate of misogyny that the Left created. |

Paragraph one, line one, a
Paragraph one, line one, a glaring grammar error. If you want to get into the self-satisfied gloating business, femisex, try working on your editing skills first.
you've got to be kidding?
you've got to be kidding? shoot for shot is just one of many spelling and grammar errors one will see when visiting this site. why? because we all have full time editing jobs all day long and by long we mean 10 to 14 hours a day and we then have families and homes and a friends to attend to and then...when all is said and done we bang out copy that is essential to female progress and we all agreed long ago to not worry about ..how does that saying go..straining at a gnat in the eye when overlooking the log that is there. thus...you will see lots of errors but the hurt is on to get to the essential points. and there are VERY essential points such as avoiding the next "die B*tch" rant and shooting of a female in power.
I would say that if anyone gets the message that the B word hurts women that is far far better thing we do than copy edit. and quite franklyh all of us here have copy editors to clean up after us at work when we need to turn copy on a dime and overlook a their for there or shoot for shot.
it would be wonderful to hire copy editor for out site, and when we can afford to do so...we'll stop with all the mess ups in spelling and grammar. but in the meantime, gotta a deadline to hit:-)
that said, feel free to shout out with gnats all you want while we hit the logs that hurt women. self satisfied? REALLY? REALLY? what is self satisfied about wanting women to become as respected at all other groups?
Thanks for all of the great
Thanks for all of the great articles on this subject. It's been a tough week. One would want to simply mourn for the victims and our country but this has been turned into a political event. I can hardly stand that the conversation has turned to responsible rhetoric and yet... no one really cares about that because if that were the case they would care about the harm irresponsible rhetoric causes women. I'm extremely depressed about this and now feel that things will only get worse before they get better. (This is in contrast to my usual optimism!)
yes, it is depressing. like
yes, it is depressing. like asking fish to walk to get the conversation turned to the real issue --sexism. oh well. keep chugging.
Didn't a girl's rejection set
Didn't a girl's rejection set off the Virginia Tech shooter? As I remember, it did. It's going to have to be us women who point out the gender hate that get mass murders gunning. I remember Kenda in New York was killed by a schizophrenic man consumed with hate for his mom. And what about the ten yearold boy who shoot his mom for making him clean his room.
This Jared was able to kill once he dehumanized Gabby by calling her the b word--and that is important to discuss.
Yes, I was thinking the same
Yes, I was thinking the same thing about Virginia Tech, and yes, girl rejection set that off too. It would be interesting to compile a list of recent shootings and this theme of girl rejection. I know that the shooter in Pittsburgh who targeted women in an aerobics class kept a diary in which he rambled on about his hatred of women. The Amish shooting was also specifically about women. This is an epidemic and the left has it's head so far up it's collective ass that anyone who identifies themselves as an Obama supporting liberal surely cannot see the forest through the trees. But any excuse to blame something on Sarah Palin! Honestly, my nature is to have good dialogue with people, listen to different point of views and accept different points of views. But until the left tackles this issue I don't want to hear a damned thing out of their mouths about ANYTHING.
Clearly, violence against
Clearly, violence against women would end if only the right bitches were murked. We just gotta keep shootin' `em until we kack the right ones. Hyuk hyuk. Paul Krugman is a flatworm.
Thanks for this. I have been
Thanks for this. I have been saying all along that this was most likely a gender-based crime that reflects our nations' misogynistic tenancies. Even if he targeted her for political motives (unlikely given what we now know), he did so because it far more incendiary to the general public to have a woman willing to hold her own in politics than it is for men.
