Jesus Camp Kids morph to Obama Cult Kids

As I watched that whacky and frightful U-Tube video of glassy-eyed children singing to their idol Obama, it took about a millisecond before I recalled the freaky documentary movie “Jesus Camp” about Right-Wingnuts inculcating their young kids to religious political action—a primary goal to exercise control over women’s bodies.
(here is link to the movie: http://www.jesuscampthemovie.com/
—it was nominated for an Academy Award in 2007.)

And in case you have somehow missed the kid’s PrayDATE to Obama, here is that loony link:

So folks, once again, both sides have their wingnut crazies, but that brings me to something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately.
Bush gave us the FAR right ideologues, and now Obama is bringing us the far Left partisan kooks.

LEFT-Obama--------------------------------------------------Bush-Right

American had a time of centrist government with the Clintons. No matter where u sit, ur not going to convince reasonable folks that President Clinton didn’t sit squarely middle on that continuum.

(As always, the abortion issue is only far left or far right, pro-choice or pro-force, so that is not included.)

McCain is, so obviously, the most middle-road guy in this year’s election. ( Hillary Clinton would have been in just a bit Left of Bill, but still squarely in the Middle.)

Left-----------------Clinton---------------Right (Bill is depicted on this line.)
Left---------------------McCain----------Right

A Huckabee nomination would be the only way to match Obama’s Far Left Lean. But Huckabee tanked.

Obama---------------------------------------------Huckabee

What does this tell me? That the Right, in nominating McCain, currently understands the need to heal this nation with a more moderate, bipartisan approach.
The Left, reactionary, and blinded by Bush hate, has chosen FAR LEFT Obama in much the same way Republicans brought us Far Right Bush as a result of disgust over Bill Clinton and his infamous hanky-panky.

This knee-jerk reactionism is not something that is good for American.

Aside from an over-ballyhooed blow-job what America got under the middle-road approach pleased the majority, excepting of course, the Loon-Tune Harpies Rich and Dowd and Herbert and the wingnuts who made the Jesus Camp possible. Newts come and go, and Clinton understood that.
(btw, folks, have u all learned a lesson?? Maritial infidelity is as common as weeds; war is not. GET the Difference YET? And…I’ve myself have aided and abetted infidelity, and in doing so had no desire to wreck a home, theirs or mine. I know sex is fun and easy to understand, as opposed to, say, the tribal rivalries of Mesopotamia, but…perhaps, now….now, we’ve learned to sort the big time from the small dime, and focus!)

Now as Bush presented himself to Americans he said he was A Uniter Not a Divider?
Recall that? Bush was the Washington Outsider, not part of the Washington network. Sound familiar?
Obama says the exact same thing. Copy and Paste. Yawn.

YET...…I’ve never ever SEEN my democratic party more divided.
Nor do I recall a candidate so polarizing. And don’t even get me started about the RACE issue. It would have been a no-go with this white/black guy until the Rev. Wright God Damn Americans and the Middle Class mess, until the Father Pfleger SEXIST racist rant. This is what divided both DEMS and REPublicans to this FAR Left Obama politician. Trust me, he is JUST as divisive as Bush, and if we elect him that is what we get……….years and years of continued Divisiveness!

Bush, when he presented himself to Americans was caught mocking a women who he intended to put to death. Remember Karla Faye Tucker, and Bush, saying in mock female tones, Please, please don’t kill me Mr. Bush? He did so, anyway, apparently with Glee.
Margaret Carlson harped on this over and over at Time, but it didn’t take. Now when I watched Obama Giving Hillary the Finger and smiling OhSOBroadly as his audience went nuts with glee, I could only think of Bush and his mocking abilities. Obama is even better, he does his right in front of the camera, sly-like but ruthless nonetheless.

When Obama looked down on his shoulder and brushed Hillary off his suit like so much dust on this jacket….i thought of Bush and his mocking abilities. When the audience went nuts to see such disrespect, I worried. When Obama told HRC she was barely likeable, I thought of Bush and his mocking abilities. When Obama’s BFF "Rev." Racist Wright Mocked Clinton to the roar of the audience, I thought of Bush and his cronies and their ability to mock with such aplomb! When Fuck-up Pfleger spread his legs and mocked Hillary Clinton for the act of being in the political game…I thought WOW, this puts Bush and his mocking cronies in the minor leagues.

And finally I thought of a conversation I had with a Bush cousin out in Sag Harbor just before Kerry went down in flames. He was so full of disdain for Kerry, it was juvenile. Any time Kerry’s name came up, he would cry out: FliP Flop, over and over again. Americans are now getting the same from m.s.media and Obama alike. No matter how much one tries to have an intellectual conversation all we get is McSame, over and over again, no matter how much Bush and McCain differ. Sound familiar?

If this works I fear what we’ve really got is 4 more years of Glib, Mock and Divide.
No change at all.
