Just look what they have cost us!Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 12:39 am — admin
Pop Culture alert: The overarching theme of the Bourne movies is: Look how much they have cost us. That is what the faithful stooges (men both:-) say when they discover they've been had by slick talking hokem pokem snake-oil salesmen. As Obama swims in seas too deep for his shallow skills, one has to wonder how many millions of Obama fans feel had. And not even by Obama--who was too dim to realize he was not ready for the job and was being spoon fed unearned opportunity, something that he's ridden his whole life--but... had by the sexist frenzied media, Left and Right, who so terrified of a female commander in chief (blasphemy the same as female priest to their ears!) that they marshalled every media resource they had to spoon feed Obama into the White House! With a Large Hat Tip to Murphy at PumaPac and Uppity Woman (heroes both!) it is painful to think of what might have been in the video below! The video starts with the fateful words of Hillary giving her prescient warning that Obama's media fueled hype will not open the sky and melt opposition. Can we all LAUGH at inane Newsweek for feeding Obama's deluded ego with Obamacans! As if! How stupid did they think we were? Newsweek printed it, but they new better, only hoping to fool their readers. Sadly Barack Obama, the man so deluded he named his dog after himself!, probably believed the hype. After all if your parents tell you you are the besssssttttt everrrrreresst every second of every day for a year, you will start to believe it after a while. In the end, I shake my head. A year in and I say: Look what they have cost us! Watch and weep! |

For their next act, the media
For their next act, the media is waging all out war on tea party mvt.
The media is attempting to demonize the mvt by linking it to Palin and painting it as full of lunatics.
There is severe cognitive dissonance in the media's attack on the anti-debt tea partiers. The Times admits the debt of our nation stands to leave America as a knee-capped superpower, but they are set to wage war on Americans who are saying enough is enough of large government and overspending.
Who are the dumb bunnies?
If congress flips in 2010 as
If congress flips in 2010 as Obama is now clearly hoping so be can be a two term monarch ---then he will never allow HRC to run. If Crongress does't flip then we'll get a republican and Palin's got no chance.
I DO NOT want Obama back in 2012 but don't see how to avoid it.
What an asshole Obama was, at
What an asshole Obama was, at the end of that video.
Eff him. And the obots that he rode in on.

When HRC even hinted that
When HRC even hinted that Obama might have not been fully vetted, I can personally tell you that at edit meetings the plan was to unleash the Harpies from Hell upon HRC. They justified their benighted actions by casting themselves as anti-racist warriors called to battle to slay each and every {my word:PRESUMED} insult to Obama.
Yet, as you can see from the end of this video, Obama was saying the same stuff. He was protected from any backlash. This president is the Media's President. Not ONCE did I hear any complaint in edit meetings about sexism. Women sat their as they do, speaking as they were expected to speak, in order to keep their jobs.
Speaking up was costly. Women just quietly shook their heads. Most have resigned themselves to being good members of their party and sect. And truth be told, it is very hard to risk alienation from your community or religion. In days of old --and in terms of how we are programed evolutionarily, this is just a blip in time--we'd have been left on the Savannah to starve or be eaten by other sects or communities or a hairy beast for speaking out against the powers that be. Not much has changed, except now, we'd be giving a pink slip and left to rot financially.
Your insider perspective is
Your insider perspective is really fascinating. And you are very correct. It is very hard to stand up to the bigotry and mistakes in one's community. I've had similar scenarios with my work in the welfare and education worlds. And I didn't fully stand up against the fraud I saw because it's a small world. I was afraid I would get fired and that my good name would be ruined in my little world, making it impossible for me to find work in the future.
So what you are saying completely, completely makes sense. And even though this is terribly frustrating it makes me happy on one level to know that there are more women in the media that think like you do. I was beginning to think that most were all Courtney Martin clones.
I've been a quiet keeper of
I've been a quiet keeper of sexism at my job. Jeez it feels like one of the 12 steps to say this. Guilt is hard to deal with but speaking up is harder. Up until Hillary lost I said things like women shouldn't play the victim . The one day , I heard Sarah Palin say something to that effect about what Hillary was going through and I thought my God that's me, that's what I've been saying all these years! I know Palin's been educated! Me too. I have not made big changes. I have started to make smaller ones.
