Kagan, Yippee, sort of kinda

So folks, we've been silent on Kagan. We are happy to see a third women on her way to The Court, BUT with Ginsberg's diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and a shaky outlook for Scary Barry in 2012, our money is on Ginsberg stepping down and then.... only IF Obama appoints another women to take her place will I give him an iota of credit. We most likely will see a return to the 20% rule that is the female condition.

In reading about Kagan, it seems she exactly fits the Obama mold: extremely pro affirmative action and extremely ambivalent or perhaps a bit hostile to abortion rights.

From CNN:

Kagan in her memos at the time repeatedly used the term "partial-birth" favored by anti-abortion groups and one which abortion-rights activists had tried to replace, believing it was inaccurate and inflammatory.

Kagan also urged Clinton to compromise on the issue of health of the woman, which Clinton, I'm proud to say, did not.

The NYTimes had a recent story on Kagan that shows a disturbing side to the woman. Remember the buffoon Larry Summers who declared --without any proof whatsoever--that blacks were not as smart as whites? Oh, wait, gird your loins, that is not what he said, or he'd not be working in Obama Dark House. What Summers said was: women are not as smart as men. Oh....just sexism, that is OK with Sexist Obama.

Now...here is what Kagan had to say on the matter of Larry vs. all women:

Ms. Kagan had been a close ally of Mr. Summers, but she was noticeably silent when he ran into a public relations buzz saw over his impolitic remarks about women’s aptitude for science — remarks that helped cost him his job. Privately, Ms. Kagan told friends and colleagues that she thought the fracas was overblown.
In an interview with The New York Times last year, Ms. Kagan sounded grateful to Mr. Summers.

“Quite a number of us who are women and relished working with Larry, and who felt that he had, in some sense, recognized our talents, even when others wouldn’t have, felt that he was given a bum rap and were not shy about telling people so,” she said. ~the NYTimes

------------------------------
Now we are forgiving of the fact women have to swallow it to get ahead in a man's world. But the unsettling fact is that Kagan seems to have no bone to pick with Summers on the fact he thinks women not so smarty and don't deserve to be at the party.
Kagan, saying this man was given a bum rap? REALLY?? Silence is one thing; saying he was given a bum rap shows an alarming numbness to sexism, while... her proir records show an acute sensitivity to racism and a strong proclivity to affirmative action for blacks. For women, she is willing to sell them downriver. This bodes not too well for women with her future rulings, especially any future abortion cases that attempt to whittle away at choice.

Ms. Kagan could have been a powerful voice against the misogyny and sexism displayed by Summers and she opted to stay silent.
What did she fight will all her might? Anti-gay sentiment. That says a heck of a lot to this writer.
(Remember all the liberal so-called feminists who mauled Palin for refusing to say sexism was a problem duing the 2008 election. But when Kagan takes the same tack, but to an even greater degree!!! she is given the get- off-scott-free card.)

Finally I leave you with this gem from the Times writer, Obot in chief SHERYL GAY STOLBERG, who you all remember, wrote sexist and dismissive words about Hillary in 2008 and gave all her female sun to shine her MAIN MAN Obama. Here is what Missy Sherly wrote about Larry Sexist Summers:

Mr. Summers, a brilliant but impatient economist ....he ran into a public relations buzz saw over his impolitic remarks about women’s aptitude for science — remarks that helped cost him his job.

Impolitic remarks? REally? Can't bring youself to writer sexist remarks? Can't bring youself to mention that his sexism is WHAT cost him his job, albeit long months later. What IS it with these women who deify men?

Her acceptance of Larry

Her acceptance of Larry Summer's remarks made me ill. You can be sure this patriarchy monkey like Barack over Hillary.

A public relations buzz? That

A public relations buzz? That makes it sound like he hosted a celebrity event. Sherly is a not wit.
