Mourning women's rights leaders lost in Haiti and...Celebrating the quashing of anti-XX Kathy Griffin

Good News we forgot to mention: Anti-Feminist Kathy Griffin has been
banned from CNN. No it wasn't her sexist remarks that got her off the CNN airwaves but the F word. Too Bad...but whatever the reason, Griffin's anti-woman mouth is one we are happy to see go BYE-BYE!
(You all may recall that is was Griffin who patted Letterman on the back for calling Palin a Slut and sexualizing her teen-aged daughter! And don't get us started on her general anti-female outlook and promotion of misogyny when the mood suits!)

In other news that is very sad, not celebratory:

Haiti lost three tremendous women's rights leaders in the devastating quake. The world has lost three brave souls and we take a moment of silence to honor these women:
From CNN:

Myriam Merlet, Magalie Marcelin and Anne Marie Coriolan, founders of three of the country's most important advocacy organizations working on behalf of women and girls, are confirmed dead -- victims of last week's 7.0 earthquake.

More:

Coriolan was a political organizer who helped bring rape -- "an instrument of terror and war," Charles said -- to the forefront of Haitian courts.

Before 2005, rapes in Haiti were treated as nothing more than "crimes of passion," Charles explained. That changed because of the collective efforts of these women activists -- and others they inspired.
