Nita Lowey promises to NOT cut Medicare; psst someone tell the CBO quick!Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 10:06 pm — admin
Why do almost 80% of Americans say Obama is not on the up and up about what ObamaCare will cost? Well, consider this: While Obama is forcing the CBO to score his health care bill based on his assurance that Medicare costs will be slashed—indeed almost all of Obama’s claims that this bill is (LMAO) “deficit neutral” are based on cutting billions from Medicare--take a look at Democrat Nita M. Lowey’s latest mailer to her constituents. In that letter, Lowey says we MUST pass health care realignment. What must health care reform contain to be considered worthy by Lowey? You guess it:
Obama has treated the citizens of this country as little more than fools, fools ready and willing to be hoodwinked and duped by his dubious promise to do what has NEVER been done: cut Medicare spending. Lowey is giving her liberal constituents (the mailer went out to democratic donors) the ol’ wink and a nod: assuring them that she and Barack have no intention of cutting benefits and costs in Medicare. now...About Obama's plan to cut payments to hospitals and MDs for Medicare and Medicaid patients: From the NYTimes: Prescriptions: Protests over Medicare Plan—Dec. 11th, 2009:
The Times writes this as though the hospitals and doctors are big fat liars. But studies show that the care patients receive is inversely proportional to the number of public patients served. That is, the more Medicaid patients an MD sees, the more patients she/he has to see in order to run the practice. As the patient load goes up.... the time the MD has to spend with patients goes down. Patients suffer and MD burnout is huge! FemiSex wants health care reform. But this is bill is a jumble without sound policy behind it. The bill sets us on a course similar to what is occurring in Massachusetts--a downward trajectory. Obama is a reparations president, but why in the world can he reparate [sic] with depreciating the middle class? |

This is an EXCELLENT example
This is an EXCELLENT example of the current systemic problems in the Democratic Party. It is as if they copied the playbook of Bush II--lie to the people in the interest of the greater good as they see the greater good.
Tell us they will pay for this with cuts to Medicare and in the same breath tell us they pledge to cut Medicare. Fool us once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.
From yesterday's New York
From yesterday's New York Times
The CBO is forced to rate the cost of the bill based on the promise to cut Medicare, even though history has shown Congress loath to do such a thing to voting senior citizens.
Click your heels and be in OZ. Imagine that Palin was claiming Congress will actually cut the sacred cow that is Medicare. The New York Times will pull out every resource and use saturation coverage to refute that claim. And a disclaimer would come with every mention of the CBO cost estimate that history has proved such cuts to be fanciful.
How do I know this? Let's just say, the Gray Lady shares her secrets with its inbreed clan and I've got 12 toes! For the times to write of its own volition that "the expense would be more than offset..." as a declarative statement with the end run coverage of CBO with clarification of doubts expressed by the CBO itself that Congress will vote to cut the legs of a sacred cow is, in a word, piss poor journalism.
Just saying.
What about Obama's
What about Obama's transparency pledge????.
Liar, liar pants afire.
