A staggering national assault occurs daily against women’s bodies with scant attention paid by male-dominated media.

 During the campaign Barack Obama said the Defense of Marriage Act was “abhorrent.” This week, Obama tossed a bone to same-sex partners of federal employees—partial benefit coverage—and the media covers this like white on rice…downplaying the pesky part about sans full health care coverage for same sex partners. WaPO even tacked the lack of health benefits on as an addendum to their story titled: Obama Intends to Extend Federal Benefits to Unmarried Partners. History: From an article on HuffPo last week:

What is important is that Obama was accorded, and is accorded, beneficial press coverage in an attempt to cover up his increasingly bizarre and lurching actions. This guy has broken more campaign pledges that Virgins For Life adherents. I am a reasonable person: I get it that Obama is a back door sort of guy, who says one thing, does the other in order to get himself re-elected. I also get it that perhaps Obama wants to sneak same sex benefits up on us slowly, so the clamor doesn’t disrupt the progress. Let’s get one thing clear, if Mrs. Hillary Clinton were in the White House right now, the media would crucify her if she acted like Mr. Obama—breaking promises left and right and taking schizophrenic postures on torture, rule of law, habeas corpus, gay marriage, abortion, wire-tapping, faith-based funding, etc., etc., etc. When Hillary flipped around even a fraction of a turn on the trail the media pounced as though she were a meal to be devoured. Obama has himself twisted into a pretzel and the media simply refuses to cover this in any meaningful and straight forward fashion. Note: FemiSex would like to see feminists work more on the issues of discrimination that single women (straight or gay) face. FemiSex supports same sex marriage but we also must remember the significant discrimination that all single women face under current laws. The ACLU is not intrested in discrimination single women face in this country. It is becoming clear to me that Obama is not treating us like adults, but lying to us like subjects. I saw it in the campaign but hated Hillary too much to care. Now I like Hillary Clinton more than Obama, whom I ended up voting for out of disgust for Failin Palin.
Last year, I wanted something different but not as different as a female. I'm not sure why but it irks me to think of a Mrs. President. I guess my wife knows it as she leaves this site open on our computer all the time. I doubt I'll be ready for a woman in the oval office anytime soon, but sometimes I log on to this place even when the wife's not looking.

I wish the media had the honesty to admit this fact. Before this election I supported my local paper with a subscription. I have cancelled Newsweek, The New York Times, and my local paper, all because they could not be honest about their anti-female bias.
