Obama is increasing Arab hostility towards the United States

I remember when the misogynist and socialist journalist Michael Kinsley gushed on about why the Arab world would stop hating on America once we elected Barack Hussein Obama--a black man with strong Muslim heritage. Oh wweee how nice it will be, happy days here once BHO is elected. This was also the collective gut feeling among so many male journalists that I know. Bring a black dude whose dads were Muslim into the boys club and sit back and wait for Arab luvn', so went the conventional XY newsroom wisdom. Yet few made those gut feelings known in writing because why bring to American's attention the facts of Obama's Muslim heritage.

So it was interesting to say the least to see the brave Glen Greenwald bust up the boy-crush party. Here is Greenwald's post yesterday that finds Obama has moved Arab sentiment even further downhill than G. W. Bush.

US more unpopular in the Arab world than under Bush
by Glen Greenwald:

I've written numerous times over the last year about rapidly worsening perceptions of the U.S. in the Muslim world, including a Pew poll from April finding that Egyptians view the U.S. more unfavorably now than they did during the Bush presidency. A new poll released today of six Arab nations -- Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Morocco -- contains even worse news on this front:

Two and a half years after Obama came to office, raising expectations for change among many in the Arab world, favorable ratings of the United States have plummeted in the Middle East, according to a new poll conducted by Zogby International for the Arab American Institute Foundation.

In most countries surveyed, favorable attitudes toward the United States dropped to levels lower than they were during the last year of the Bush administration . . . Pollsters began their work shortly after a major speech Obama gave on the Middle East . . . Fewer than 10 percent of respondents described themselves as having a favorable view of Obama.

What's striking is that none of these is among the growing list of countries we're occupying and bombing. Indeed, several are considered among the more moderate and U.S.-friendly nations in that region, at least relatively speaking. Yet even in this group of nations, anti-U.S. sentiment is at dangerously (even unprecedentedly) high levels.

One is easily reminded why Michael Kinsley and his ilk like to blow smoke up the public's ass....because they can. But now is the time for house cleaning. If the MSM keeps dishn' us idiot men like Kinsley to make assumptions about humanity and about the love they have deep in their sequestered groins for Obama (Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann come to mind here as well as David Gregory) it is time to stop listening to them. It is time to understand that men so in love with another man can't give us anything other than drooling accolades. But we can stop listening. Every time a Kinsley or Matthews opens their mouths, just turn the page, click ahead to the next story or channel.
