One in five girls on Campus reports rape; one in five women in Military report sexual abuse; 3% of civilian rapists spend a night in jail

You just can’t make headlines like this up: “Head of Air Force sexual-assault prevention busted for allegedly groping woman.” But that is exactly what the NYPost in reporting. And just last month the NYTimes reported that, according to a large survey of active-duty military personnel, one in five female service members say they’ve been sexually harassed and abused. So we have the head of the prevention program in bed with the pro-abuse program, as it were.

I can tell you it is very difficult to get stories on sexual assault crisis, military or otherwise, into the media. I can tell you this: if one in five gay men in the military were reporting unwanted sexual contact harassment and abuse from straight men in the military, there would 24/7 coverage of this.

The fix is not in any bill that Sen. Kristen Gillibrand of NewYork is proposing—more below on that. The fix is in the culture that we live in. Sexual abuse inside the military is the same as on our college campuses, except worse:

• In a study by the U.S. Centers for Disease control of 5,000 college students at over 100 colleges, 20% of women answered "yes" to the question "In your lifetime have you been forced to submit to sexual intercourse against your will?" Thus, one in five college women has been raped at some point in her lifetime. (2)

So on campus it is actually worse: one in five young girls say they’ve been raped; and one in four say they’ve been sexually abused.

This is Gillibrand in the Post story: “We have to reform how the military handles sexual assault cases and take on the culture that perpetuates this kind of behavior,” said Gillibrand, who held hearings in March on sexual assaults in the military.

My question is if one in five blacks on campus were being whipped, can you imagine the news coverage? Yes it would be non-stop. And if one in five black men or women in military where being targeted based on their race for physical abuse and humiliation would there be 24/7 news coverage? Yes, dear there would.

So if women are sexually abused on campus more often than in the military, explain to me how Gillibrand’s plan—to have independent prosecutors deal with reported causes of sexual abuse—would make one inch of difference. Someone might want to tell Gillibrand and the news media that only 3% of rapists every spend one day in jail—that, is how our “independent” non-military justice system deals with rape. VERY Poorly! With sexual assault cases the numbers are even worse in our civilian judicial system.

The New York Times in their op-ed in support of talking justice for sexual assault cases outside of the military chain of command, says this:

“opponents of reform seem in denial about the severity of the problem while raising overblown fears that handling felony-level cases outside the chain of command would ruin military discipline. What the argument misses is that military discipline is already badly broken when the many vicitims of sexual assaults have almost zero faith that justice will be served and their careets protected if they report them.

Someone might want to tell the Times that they hired Mark Thompson—the man who at BBC killed a story that detailed horrific sexual abuse of girls by a BBC high-profile employee —which kiddies is NO different than failing to deal with sexual abuse in the military.

Here is what FemiSex wrote when the New York Times hired Mark Thompson: the man who looked the other way and helped to cover up internal misogyny and sexual abuse.

The New York Times has just hired Joe Paterno as its president and CEO! Icing on the cake: says calling women bitches is: "clever"

Meet Mark Thompson, the man the New York Times today welcomed with open arms and a sloppy wet kiss as their new president and CEO, the man who was the director-general of BBC a year ago when BBC decided to kill a story about horrific alleged child sex abuse by one of their TV hosts. Marky Mark says he didn't reeallllly (honest kids) didn't know what story he was killing when he refused to "blow the lid off nookie"-

So where is the Gillibrand Law to demand that Mark Thompson be removed from the chain of command at the NYTimes due to his willingness to look the other way on a story about the sexual abuse of hundreds of pre-teen and teenaged girls?

Zero: call the Times and tell them to sack Thompson and in the meantime tell them to stop with looking the other way at cultural misogyny. The Times was instrumental in their laserlike news focus on racism to the degree that our culture has negative zero tolerance for racism—that is, even when there is no racism, there is no tolerance for racism. Sexism: well, hell that’s just funny. See cartoon.
Forget that she's an Army Captain or the Gov. of Alaska; remember she tits and ass: 35-23-35. Sick and promotional of turning women into sexual things to be abused. See Ohio captives, see Stubenville, see gang rape vic in Richmond Ca. See how much there is to see.
