Palin approval rating in Alaska no longer 80% it is 68%--Proof Positive that the Media inflicts violence upon women candidatesTuesday, October 7, 2008 at 12:52 pm — admin
• Palin approval rating in Alaska no longer 80% it is 68% I occasionally visit the reader postings of web sites to take the temperature of one camp or another. I want to thank Uncle Fester for bringing this to my attention. It is too sad that he thought he was smearing Palin by posting it. Rather…. It is wonderful! Just gall-dang wonderful as an exemplar of how the press inflicts fatal blows to female candidates. Up until the media told us all over.. and over.. and over.. and over.. again what a dolt, sinner, adulterous, contriving, ambitious, book-burning, vicious Bitch Palin is-- (and by the way, Salon—titling a piece of yours “MEAN Girl,” is the same as titling it “Bitch Palin. And btw, does Girl for Palin mean that msm will soon use Boy when talking about Obama?? Thought not!)--Palin had an 80 % approval rating in Alaska by her constitutes. LET ME REPEAT THIS: UNTIL THE MEDIA SAVAGED PALIN, SMEARING HER DAILY, SHE HAD A SOLID 80% APPROVAL RATING BY HER CONSTITUTES. Then came a poll—a poll taken a mere three weeks after the Lefty Press gang-smeared Palin in a manner befitting their conduct towards Hillary Clinton. Guess WHAT?????????? And there is ZERO chance that her past efforts and successes and failures changed. (There is a 100% chance the media perpetuated lies about Palin, such as the continued fabrication that the woman tortured rape victims, and afterward put on witch-clothing and burnt books toasty at the public library, while having adulterous sex with an unknown entity, faked a pregnancy, and toasted male testicles on the remnants of her book fire.) When a woman is in the mix, the press spins things into such ludicrous negativity, invents stories, and ABOVE all fails to outline the many positives of the female candidate while refusing to shine a beam on male’s negatives. Palin’s tenure as Goverenor of Alaska has been overwhelmingly positive, but NOW the average person would be hard-pressed, EXTREMELY hard-pressed to name one positive. Hats off MSM, u’ve done it again. First with Clinton, now with Palin. NO woman running for Top Doggie or 2nd Doggie is safe. We hear u loud and clear. Upon Palin’s nomination, Obama’s released a statement sniding {sic but another great word} her tenure as a mayor and ignoring her successful tenure as governor and reformer; Taking this Obama snide as their own Talking Point, the press latched onto Wasilla as though that is all Palin had ever done. The Press said: “hey thanks Obama, that’s it! Eureka, we’ll talk to every last boy and frog Palin kissed, every email she wrote, every conversation she had, but only those that hurt her…we’ll do as you say, ignore her feats as governor and smear and snide her time as mayor.” NOW!!! Like an elegant scientific study, we get the effects of media smears, when those smears are almost universal, when they are hysterical, to demonstrate the pernicious effect a universal smear campaign by MSM can have on a female candidate. THREE LITTLE WEEKS AND NO NEW GOVERNMENTAL ACTION AND SHE’S DOWN BY 12 IN HER STATE. -Now just try to tell me that Media did not Kill off Hillary. Tell me about how Joe Biden Lied about being shot at in Afghanistan. Wait,… ....you haven’t heard about that if your in middle American and listen to the six o’clock news. There is almost no way anyone could hold up against such sustained smearing……. Now, don’t worry….We’ll tell u the truth about that Bitch Sarah after we’ve put Obama in the White House. Then we’ll run a retraction, maybe, unless we think she’s a future threat. |

Holy shit, a 68% approval
Holy shit, a 68% approval rating? that's astonishing.
A Rasmussen poll revealed
A Rasmussen poll revealed today that her approval rating is now at 62.
Why? Most likely Alaskans are growing disappointed with her double talk. She says one thing in Alaska and another to the rest of the country.
To I don't get it, sorry, at
To I don't get it, sorry, at this point you never will get it and that is your loss. There has been a great deal of sexism shown by the elite press. Heaven forbid that a woman from nowhere could come to prominence and achieve anything. The press has badly failed the American public by not investigating Barack Obama until it is too late to find anything. His campaign has scrubbed the internet of any records that might show him in a less than favorable light and if they tried to find anything now it would take a court order. Now it is time to ask why the campaign would do this if there were nothing to hide. That answer is simple, there is no reason. Obama is hiding something major, and the press has been complicit in allowing it to happen.
admin - The press targeted
admin - The press targeted her *because* she is a woman? Don't you think it makes more sense that the she got the attention she did because she entered the national spotlight as the VP candidate for the republican party? Occam's razor indicates that is the more reasonable conclusion.
Added scrutiny to a candidate who now refuses to cooperate in an investigation of abuse of power has a tendancy to lower approval ratings for anyone, regardless of their sex. Not to mention an inability to answer softball questions that would leave anyone looking like someone of questionable intelligence. If a man couldn't hit such softballs, I would expect his approval rating to drop. I'm not sure why Palin's backers expect people to cut her slack because she's a woman and then claim it's sexism when they don't. Male or female does not matter, what matters are the clouds that her actions, inactions, and inability to answer questions(several of them very simple and hardly loaded) have left over her. The added media scrutiny is clearly because she entered the national spotlight when she wasn't there before, it is extremely contrived to claim it's because she's a woman. But when your side has nothing else, I understand the need to contrive away.

[Needs Attention!:] Republican Clears Obama On Ayers!(Audio)

Uh-oh...Ayers won't work anymore (There goes the kitchen sink, I guess here comes the table)...Some republicans from Chicago are saying what most of us knew all along. Bill Ayers was a commonly acceptable figure in Chicago by everyone--Democrats, Independents, and even Republicans. Are they all America hating, terrorist loving traitors to America?!
In fact, this NPR piece speaks to the Republican funded cause that Obama and Ayers worked on together. And that:
"It was never a concern by any of us in the Chicago school reform movement that he had led a fugitive life years earlier," said former Illinois state Republican Rep. Diana Nelson, who worked with both Obama and Ayers over the years. "It's ridiculous. There is no reason at all to smear Barack Obama with this association. It's nonsensical, and it just makes me crazy. It's so silly."

reply to Eyes Wide opened--
well, way off topic Eyes, but an example of the press doing a nice job of putting together a favorable item on O's association w the guy who did this: (from Wiki)
San Francisco police station bombing
Brian V. McDonnell, a sergeant with the San Franscisco Police Department who received fatal shrapnel wounds from a pipe bomb set off on February 16, 1970.In a bombing that took place on February 16, 1970, a pipe bomb filled with heavy metal staples and lead bullet projectiles was set off on the ledge of a window at the Park Station of the San Francisco Police Department. In the blast, Brian V. McDonnell, a police sergeant, was fatally wounded while Robert Fogarty, another police officer, received severe wounds to his face and legs and was partially blinded.[16
The issue for us is O's combo package of associations, but even that is not what we take highest issue with....rather the packaging of positive stories on Obama, and the packaging of negative ones on HRC and SP. When the press mentions the bombings, they never mention the killings... an example of bias in favor of O. And normal edit procedure would ground readers in the fact of associated fatalities and how many occurred as a result of this "silly" fuss over Ayres.

Femisex reply to Anonymous--
no one is asking for cutting anyone slack-- slack means go lighter than one would normally. Femisex is demanding equality in coverage. This is to be a basic tenet of journalism. But no one can truthfully tell me the coverage of Palin has been equal in nature to the coverage of Obama, not with a straight face. (not covering Obama's ties to Acorn is a major flaw of the media, but the excessive daily reminders of TrooperGate are mentioned repeatedly. Believe me folks Troopergate is such small beans to ur daily lives vs. ACORN and its reach.
and one can never apply Occam to racism or sexism. Both are so insidious that Occam has to stay home on that.
re a man couldn't hit such softballs, well i can give u plenty of softballs Obama has hit (his option yes,) that the press pack allows to slide over and over again. Equality is the key, good for the goose, good for the gander. Obama's feet are anointed by this press season while Palin's and HRC's were held to the fire. NO, not want anything but = treatment for both.

i'm not sure what boost u refer to James. any polling of approve or disapprove of Palin on national level is not the topic, but rather her rating at home. that it fell so rapidly is a very quick measure of not her governance but the spin the media has played out.
and no, the polls didn't drop b/c she is a woman (or rise b/c of it either), rather b/c the press targeted her BECAUSE she is a woman. Do i really need to outline the sexist coverage of this woman and Hillary all over again. My favorite is comparing her to rapist Willie Horton, but so many other delights in so many venues just like CNN thinking it fine and dandy to call Clinton a Bitch b/c she is one!
If you can find me an example akin to White Bitch for Mr. Obama by msm, i'd be pleased to hear it. Closest to date, was when Fox called Michelle his baby mama. hmmm, they used a woman to hurl a sexist/racist insult.
Why is everything blamed on
Why is everything blamed on the Media?
Don't ya think that some people in Alaska, didn't like how she portrayed herself as against the *Bridge to Nowhere,* when they knew she was in favor of it, when she ran for Gov?
Or, how she performed in the ABC & CBS interviews?
Or, how she welcomed the *Troopergate* investigation, before she decided to stonewall?
Even in Alaska, people can think, and see a liar... and someone who is in over her head.
It has nothing to do with her being a woman, but has to do with who Gov Palin is.
...or proof positive that
...or proof positive that even Alaskans, when reality stares them in the face, are capable of seeing the truth.
How bout we look at some of
How bout we look at some of the sloppy logic (I use the term loosely) that is found in this.
"Now does any intelligent person think the manner in which she governed Alaska changed in three weeks?"
Ummm....well, apparently you do, you dolt. Since your very next sentence is
"For crying out loud, the woman has been campaigning the entire time!! There is zero chance Palin committed anything policy-wise to make Alaska’s citizens turn against her by 12 percentage points."
EXACTLY!!! She hasn't been governing in Alaska for the past three weeks! Now, why would people who elected her to be governor of rural Alaska be ticked that their governor hasn't been around for 3 weeks???
I don't get it. She had a
I don't get it. She had a huge boost when we were first introduced to her. Perhaps not in Alaska but in the nation as a whole. Her popularity is declining as the American people get to know more about her. How, did this decline happen? Not because she's a woman. That is why she was so popular to begin with. It's because people question her experience, her intelligence, and the scandals that seem to be tied to her record, in particularly Troopergate and the bridge to nowhere. I think that fact that Barack Obama is a black man negates any possible minority bias which is leveled at each of the candidates. Just my opinion. I'm not out to change yours.
