Inmates who were short, young, gay or female were more likely to be victimized than other inmates.

It seems clear that decreasing the number of rapes in prison is a good idea. Yes get tough on crime is OK, but we have a responsibility to be sure that a prison sentence is not a rape sentence. We do have a duty to protect those we incarcerate.

The whacko was the lone person to go for strip searching 13 year-olds at school in search of Advil!

A strip search of a 13-year-old girl by officials at her middle school violated the Constitution, the Supreme Court ruled Thursday in an 8-to-1 decision.

Only Justice Clarence Thomas would have ruled the search constitutional. “Preservation of order, discipline and safety in public schools is simply not the domain of the Constitution,” he wrote.

I think it is pretty clear that Thomas is simply not a qualified jurist. If hunting for Advil in a 13 year-old honor student’s underwear is not unreasonable search then NOTHING is. This guy wouldn’t know the Constitution if it hit him over the head.
